Comparing alternatives to Multiplier for hiring employees in Indonesia

Multiplier Alternatives for Indonesia

What is thin for Indonesia specifically

Multiplier is a credible platform with published tier pricing and genuine Southeast Asian roots. The difficulty is that little of its published evidence is Indonesian, as at 7 September 2026.

01

No Indonesia-specific rate

The USD 459 figure is a published global entry rate. The Indonesia employer of record page publishes no rate at all, so total cost needs a sales call.

02

No Indonesia case study

The flagship Asia-Pacific case study delivers its results in India, and a second covers the Philippines. Indonesia does not appear.

03

Device coverage unconfirmed

Multiplier’s IT Assets product covers 130+ countries, but the seven-business-day delivery promise names “Asia” in a blog post and the laptop feature is scoped to “more than 55 countries” without a published list. No equipment price or SLA is published.

04

No published response-time SLA

Multiplier’s pricing page states 24x7 dedicated customer support (accessed 7 September 2026). Neither provider publishes a response-time SLA for EOR, so ask for one in writing.

Multiplier Alternatives for Hiring in Indonesia (2026)

By the MixWork Team · Pricing re-verified 7 September 2026, other terms as at 1 August 2026

Multiplier publishes EOR from USD 459 per employee per month billed annually, or USD 499 billed monthly (accessed 7 September 2026), below Deel and G-P at USD 599 and Remote at USD 699, but publishes no Indonesia-specific rate. Frequently asked questions

What is the best Multiplier alternative for Indonesia?

For a published Indonesia-specific rate, Remote at USD 699 per employee per month with no deposit. For the lowest published fee, Remote People at USD 199 per employee per month. For broad multi-country coverage, Deel at USD 599. For recruitment, HR management and in-region IT handled by one partner, MixWork from USD 249. All figures were read from each provider's own pages on 7 September 2026.

Why look for a Multiplier alternative for Indonesia specifically?

Because as at 7 September 2026 Multiplier publishes no Indonesia-specific EOR rate (its Indonesia guide carries no price at all), and no Indonesia case study or onboarding commitment. Around 11% of the countries it supports carry adjusted pricing it does not enumerate, and every tier card adds compliance-mandated add-ons and an implementation fee without quantifying either. None of that is a criticism of the service; it makes the cost hard to evaluate before a sales call.

Is Multiplier cheaper than the alternatives?

On headline price, sometimes. EOR from USD 459 per employee per month billed annually, or USD 499 billed monthly, sits below Deel's USD 599 and Remote's USD 699. But on an Indonesian salary a capped percentage model from a local provider often lands lower still, and Multiplier's Indonesia rate is not published, so the USD 459 floor may not be what you are quoted.

What is missing for Indonesia specifically

Multiplier is a credible platform with a real Asia-Pacific track record and published tier pricing. The difficulty is that little of its published evidence is Indonesian, as at 7 September 2026:

  • No Indonesia-specific EOR rate; the USD 459 figure is a published global entry rate.

  • No Indonesia case study published; its flagship Asia-Pacific case study delivers its results in India, and a second covers the Philippines.

  • No Indonesia onboarding figure, the “24 hours” claim is global.

  • Equipment coverage stated for “Asia” in a blog post and scoped to “more than 55 countries” without a published list, with no equipment SLA or price.

  • The pricing page states 24x7 dedicated customer support (accessed 7 September 2026), but no response-time SLA is published for EOR.

None of that means the service is poor. It means you cannot compare Indonesian terms without a sales call, which is precisely what a comparison page should help you avoid.

The alternatives

Remote, the clearest published pricing

USD 699 per employee per month published on its Indonesia page, no setup fees, no upfront deposits, no minimum headcount, 15% off for startups. Higher fee, far clearer terms. Detail in our MixWork vs Remote comparison.

Omni HR, a published rate inside an HR platform

From USD 249 per employee per month, published on its own pricing page (read 12 September 2026). Omni HR sells the employer-of-record line alongside a core HR platform at USD 3 per employee per month, payroll software at USD 2 to 4 and managed payroll from USD 15.

Its pricing page states the fee carries employment contracts tailored to local law, payroll processing, tax registration and filing, benefits administration and local compliance advisory. No Indonesia-specific rate or country list is published, and recruitment, workspace and device provisioning are not published as part of it, so compare scope before you compare the number.

Deel, breadth across many markets

USD 599 per employee per month with wide country coverage and strong product depth, offset by a security deposit of 1 to 1.5 times monthly charges. See our MixWork vs Deel comparison and Deel alternatives for Indonesia.

MixWork, management on the ground

Indonesia-focused, with our own team and office in Jakarta. Total Care 360 includes a named HR manager, engagement and dispute resolution, performance and attendance monitoring and monthly employee and client check-in calls as standard, and the MixWork Managed IT supplies devices from in-region stock at USD 99 per device / month with no deposit. We engage people only as full-time permanent employees, if you need contractor management, Multiplier offers it and we do not. Full context in our ranking of EOR providers in Indonesia.

How to check a provider can actually support you on the ground

Compliance is table stakes and every provider here delivers it. What separates them is what happens when something needs a person rather than a dashboard. These are the questions worth asking, and the answers are easy to verify:

  1. Who physically handles a termination or a grievance, and have they run that process in Indonesia before? Ask for a description of the last one they handled.

  2. Do I get a named contact who stays the same, or a queue? Ask for the person’s role and working hours.

  3. What hours is support actually staffed in Indonesian time, and is that a published commitment or a marketing line?

  4. Is there a published response-time commitment for anything? If not, ask for one in writing.

  5. Where do laptops come from, how long does handover take, and who fixes one that fails?

  6. Is there somewhere my team can physically sit if they need to, and what does it cost?

  7. Who notices if a good employee quietly disengages, and is that someone’s actual job?

A provider that answers all seven concretely is operating here. One that answers three is selling you software with a compliance wrapper, which may be exactly what you need, but you should know which you are buying.

How we compare, and how these claims are substantiated

This page compares published commercial terms, not service quality. Every figure attributed to Multiplier was read directly from Multiplier’s own published pages on 1 August 2026, with all pricing re-verified on 7 September 2026, and each source is listed at the end of this page. We hold copies of those pages as they appeared on that date. Our full comparison methodology and disclaimers sets out the standards we apply.

  • We compare like with like. Where the two offerings are not directly comparable, we say so rather than implying an advantage.

  • “Not published” means exactly that. Where we note that Multiplier does not publish something, we mean it was not on Multiplier’s public pages on 1 August 2026. It is not a statement that Multiplier cannot or does not provide it.

  • We make no claim about Multiplier’s service quality. We have not used customer complaints or negative review commentary to argue our case.

  • We name where Multiplier is stronger. A comparison that finds no merit in the alternative is not a fair comparison, and would not help you decide.

  • Figures go out of date. Third-party pricing and terms change without notice and we do not monitor them continuously. Verify current terms against Multiplier’s own pages before you contract.

Spotted something inaccurate or out of date? Email support@mixwork.co with the statement and a link to the correct source, and we will verify and correct or remove it promptly. That invitation applies to competitors as much as customers.
